Plaza del Sol is a family-owned restaurant that represents many dreams come true for myself (Claire), Gerber, and our family. Gerber has always loved good food and making people feel cared for. Gerber has also always wanted to open a restaurant. My dad also loved to cook and dreamed of opening a restaurant after retiring. Sadly, he passed away before he retired. Gerber and I are especially happy to be able bring his dream to reality.
Using hard-earned family funds from my father and mother, Gerber and I have invested several years in finding just the right place and the right staff for our restaurant. We are thrilled to have found a spot in the heart of Bethesda, and within our own community. We are also extremely fortunate to have found the culinary talent and experience that our chefs bring with them.
Our chefs started their culinary careers at some of the Washington D.C. area's best-known Tex-Mex restaurants. They are extremely talented and bring over 25 years of experience with them. We are so very pleased to have them as our culinary partners!
Our goal is to serve outstanding food at reasonable prices and with friendly service that will keep you coming back again and again. We are pleased to be your hosts, and hope you will come often with your family and friends.
